A waterborne, one component acrylate lacquer for wooden surfaces.
Usable for intermediate and finishing coats.
Main application - for indoor furniture.
Quick drying lacquer that provides an wearing resistant surface. Surface resistance varies with the wood species. May be used as 1 component and as 2 component product.
Specifications: Gloss: 40 and 70 Delivery viscosity: approx. 3500 mPa s at +20°C Density; Approx. 1.05 g/cm³ at +20°C Solids by weight: Approx. 35 % Packaging: 20 l tin containers, 200 plastic drum
Direction for use as 1-component product:
Application method: The lacquer is applied by spraying.
Application data: The product can be thinned with water before use. The surface should be well smoothed to reduce rising of wood fibres. Previously coated surfaces should be properly mat sanded. The surface must be very clean, free from dust and contamination before lacquering. The moisture in soft wood should not exceed 15%, in-hard wood-12%. Use nozzle 0.279 mm = 0.011 inch or 0.33 mm = 0.013 inch with a spraying pressure of 70-90 bar.
Air or oven drying.
Drying at 60% RH/relative humidity/ 20°C Min.40°C dry for sanding Approx. 1h approx. 30min. dry for stacking Approx. 2h approx. 45min.
The drying times are based on an amount applied of 100 g wet lacquer per m²
and efficient ventilation. After forced drying the substrates should be cooled to a
temperature below 30 °C prior to stacking.
Recommended spreading amounts (unthinned):
2 x 100 g/m².
Tools and cleaning:
Clean tools/equipment immediately after use with water and detergent. Any remains should not be released in the environment. Do not allow to get into the sewage system. Dispose according to the local legislation.
Stir well before use. Should not be applied or left to dry at temperatures below 18 °C. Wood containing tanning such as oak may result in smoke tinting. Before final lacquering we recommend test lacquering and tape test.
Best working conditions:
Temperature of the surface above 18°C, relative humidity of the air below 70%, product temperature +15 - +20°C. Test the compatibility with trial spraying.
Do not apply at direct sunlight and temperatures below +10 - +15°C, or above +30°C. Make sure that there is no dust in the air, the ventilation must be sufficient. Check that the sealing materials are compatible with the coating. Gaskets with plasticisers tend to stick to dispersion varnishes, so use plasticiser-free gaskets. Dark discoloration may appear on oak. Preliminary testing is recommended.
If necessary, thin with deionized water (max. 10%).
Up to 6 months from production date, store in well closed, original containers, at temperatures +5 - +35°C. Keep away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
