Summary: The sodium grease is designed for the lubrication of bearings and friction mechanisms. Do not use in humid environments. Operating temperature range -15°C to 120°C. It is manufactured in packages of 9, 15 and 180 kg drum.

Appearance and composition

It is prepared mostly from animal fats, which react with sodium hydroxide in an oil medium. The sodium soap is sometimes mixed with other metal soaps, particularly calcium, in order to improved water resistance. It has a distinctive fibrous (micellar) structure.

Product Benefits

The sodium grease belongs to the soap lubricants. It has some disadvantages - water miscibility and has a tendency to thermal hardening. Despite that it has better adhesion properties in comparison to the calcium grease, the use of sodium grease decreases due to their difficult mobility. It cannot compete against the new waterproof, multipurpose greases. However, it is still recommended for some heavier applications and well sealed motors.

Product Usage

It has been used a long time in applications where operating temperatures exceeded 100°C. It can be used at temperatures up to 120°C. The sodium grease is designed for lubrication of bearings and friction mechanisms. Do not use in humid environments. It works under normal loads.

Storage and transportation: According to the Safety Rules for mineral oils and the rules for environmental protection. A product should be stored indoors, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
Shelf life in original container under the recommended conditions: 5 years.
Recommended storage temperature: from -5°C to + 40°C.
